My phone died right after I snapped the leak under the sink, then I spent 2 days fixing what should've been a 40 minute job

The last pic I got was the drip coming from the PVC joint, but I forgot to grab a shot of the shutoff valve location behind the water heater. Took 2 full days of trips to Home Depot in Austin and a second call to my landlord because I used the wrong pipe sealant first. Has anyone else lost the whole fix because the final photo missed one dumb detail?

My brother's one line about charging my phone at 15% saved my trip

My brother always said I need to charge at 15%, not 5%, because the phone dies faster than the meter shows. Last weekend I was in Portland and ignored him, hit 8% with a 30 minute bus ride ahead of me. I had the last photo of a sunset I wanted to keep, but the phone shut off mid-upload and the file got corrupted. He was right, the battery drains like crazy below 10% on my model. Anybody else have a family member whose phone habit advice turned out to be spot on?

Hit 1,000 last-slide photos saved, mostly blurry dogs

I keep every final shot before my phone dies, even the ones that are just blurry carpet or my dog's nose. Yesterday I hit 1,000 saved in a folder from the last 3 years, and 762 of them are basically garbage. Anyone else stick with a near-dead phone just to see what random thing you catch at that last 2%?

My phone camera app froze during a lightning storm at the river

Last Tuesday I drove out to the Puyallup River with maybe 15% battery left, hoping to grab a shot of the storm rolling in. Right as the first big bolt split the sky, the camera app froze on a black screen and the phone shut down a second later. I stood there in the dark with rain soaking my jacket and just watched the next three flashes hit the water with no way to capture them. That moment made me realize how much I rely on the phone to prove something happened instead of actually being there for it. When I got home and charged it, the last saved image was just a blurry boot from before I even left the car. Has anyone else had a big moment ruined by a dead battery, and did you end up feeling relieved or annoyed about it afterwards?

I was at a diner in Wichita and my phone hit 2% right as I snapped a picture of my check, just to double check the math later. The screen went black before I could even see if it focused, but when I plugged in and zoomed in, you could read the itemized line showing I got charged for a side of bacon I never ordered. That blurry, half-taken photo was the only proof I had, and the manager refunded me $4.50 on the spot, which got me thinking, how many last-slide moments actually hold more than we think? Has anyone else found a random final photo that ended up being important for some dumb reason?

That random video from the parking lot saved my sanity

My phone was at 2% and I caught the last 20 seconds of a dashcam video someone posted from a Walmart lot in Kansas City. It showed a guy whose car battery died and he was trying to jump it, but his cables were way too thin and they were smoking. I had the same junk cables in my trunk for 5 years. I always thought the thick expensive ones were a scam, but that clip convinced me to spend the $40 on a proper 4-gauge set. Next morning my battery was dead and the new cables fired it up in one try. Has anyone else had a close call like that from watching a random last slide video?

Last photo was of a puddle because my phone died mid-rant

Was in the Home Depot parking lot in Austin trying to snap a pic of a parking job that took up two spots to send my wife, and the screen went black at 1%. The last image saved was just my shoe and a puddle. Has anyone else lost a good photo to a dying battery and ended up with something useless instead?
