Last photo was of a puddle because my phone died mid-rant
Was in the Home Depot parking lot in Austin trying to snap a pic of a parking job that took up two spots to send my wife, and the screen went black at 1%. The last image saved was just my shoe and a puddle. Has anyone else lost a good photo to a dying battery and ended up with something useless instead?

Is that puddle at least a good one? I mean, I feel like it's a universal law that the worst photos happen exactly when you finally got the perfect shot lined up. My phone did the same thing at a concert last month, I got a blurry shot of some dude's elbow and a wall. It's like the battery knows and just picks the worst possible moment to quit. I've started keeping a portable charger in my truck just for this exact reason, it is a total lifesaver. You're not alone in the useless photo club, trust me.

Wait, do you actually check the battery before you even pull your phone out for a shot, @umaadams, or are you still living dangerously? I swear I've got this habit now where I'll tilt the screen to see that little percentage and if it's under 15, I just don't even try. It's like I'm saving myself from the heartbreak. But yeah, the elbow and wall thing, that's brutal, I've got a whole folder of those from a wedding last year. Portable chargers are the real MVP though, I keep one in my glove box too and it's saved me more times than I can count.
