Tried making a poster with only two colors and it looked way worse than I thought
I saw a cool design online that used just black and yellow, so I tried it for a concert poster. I spent like 4 hours on it, but when I printed a test, it just looked flat and boring, not bold. I think I messed up by not using enough different shades of the colors. Has anyone else tried a limited color thing and had it flop? What did you do to fix it?

Oh man, that's the worst feeling. What was the main focus of the poster, like the band name or the date? Sometimes you need to go SUPER bold with one element and let everything else fade back, even with just two colors. Did you try making one part HUGE and graphic?

Could you try making the band name so big it almost bleeds off the page?

Haha oh man that's actually a solid tip! I read that old punk flyers used to do that all the time with the band name just blown up to like 500% and everything else tiny. Really makes a statement with only 2 colors. You could try pushing the name right to the edge of the bleed line and see if it gives that raw DIY feel.
