I finally get why old cereal boxes are design gold
I was cleaning out my parents' attic and stumbled on a bunch of old cereal boxes from the 90s. The crazy colors and wacky fonts gave me SO much more inspiration than the sleek apps I scroll through now. Do you guys have a go-to vintage source for fresh ideas?

Calling 90s cereal boxes "design gold" feels like a stretch. Those loud colors and weird fonts were mostly just marketing to kids, not some deep art. Like, Count Chocula is fun to remember, but is a cartoon vampire really better design than what's in a good app today? It seems like pure nostalgia talking.

Tony the Tiger worked because he had to grab your eye in a cereal aisle with 50 other boxes (not on a screen you chose to open). Physical product design and app design solve totally different problems.
