Looking at my old setup from 3 years ago in the garage, it was just a single jar on a shelf.

Last month I built a proper station with a dedicated fridge, and last week I had 4 different ferments going at once. Anyone else find their hobby just kind of...expanded like that?

Ever notice how your fermenting stuff starts to dictate what you buy at the grocery store? I'm picking vegetables now based on what'll pickle well, not what's for dinner. My garage fridge is basically a science project that took over.

Totally get that. My kitchen counter became a fermentation station last fall. Started buying cabbages in bulk for sauerkraut, way more than we could ever eat fresh. Ended up with like seven jars going at once.
