Neighbor told me my fence posts were set too shallow back in June

I built a privacy fence along my side yard in May and set the posts about 18 inches deep with quick-set concrete. My neighbor Bill walked over and said around here you need at least 30 inches because the frost line runs deep. I ignored him at first but after that first freeze in November I saw two posts leaning. Dug them out and redid all 12 posts with 30 inch holes and gravel at the bottom. Took a whole weekend but now the fence is rock solid. Has anyone else gotten advice from a neighbor that turned out to be 100% right even though you doubted them?

Yep, my neighbor was right about gutter placement too.
