My kitchen backsplash tile popped off after 3 days
I was so proud of that tile work in my kitchen in Columbus. Then on day three I heard a clatter and found three tiles on the floor. Turns out I didn't let the thinset cure long enough before grouting, rushed it because my in laws were coming. I had to carefully scrape off the old thinset and redo those tiles, took me two hours. Anybody else learn this lesson the hard way?

Oh man, tell me about it! I once laid tile in my bathroom and got so excited to grout the next day (big mistake). I stepped on a tile the morning after and it literally popped up like a loose tooth. Had to scrape all that thinset off and start over, which is basically my least favorite thing in the world. Now I always wait the full 24 hours minimum, even if the bag says 12. That extra patience saves you a whole lot of cursing later.
