Last month I tried regrouting my bathroom tile and ended up chipping three tiles with the grout saw
I was working in my master bath in Denver and the grout removal tool I got from Home Depot just kept grabbing at the edges. Has anyone found a good trick for getting old grout out without wrecking the tile?

Have you tried using an oscillating multi-tool with a grout blade? My buddy in Lakewood was regrouting his shower last fall and he kept chipping tiles with the manual saw too, but that little power tool made it way smoother (just go slow on the corners). He said it still took forever though, like three evenings of picking at it after work.
