Hit 100 successful drywall patches last weekend without keeping score until then
I was cleaning out my garage and found a pile of old mudding knives. Counted how many patches I did in the last year after a pipe leak in the basement. Number came out to about 100 patches total. Most were small screw holes and a few bigger ones from moving electrical boxes. Anyone else have a random DIY milestone that snuck up on them?

My buddy Mark once realized he'd replaced about 50 light switch covers over the years without keeping track. He found them all in a box under his workbench, each one scuffed up with drywall dust and paint splatters. Kind of funny how a simple job can add up before you even notice.

Counting patches without keeping score is a funny kind of milestone because it means you either hate paperwork or just kept working until the problem was gone. That kind of quiet progress is probably more satisfying than tracking every single screw hole from day one. How many of those patches actually look better than the original wall?
