Went back to McDonald's after swearing them off for years, and wow I was wrong

So I had this huge grudge against McDonald's after a bad experience 5 years ago where they gave me cold fries and a stale bun. I told everyone I'd never eat there again lol. But last week my friend dragged me to the one on Broad Street in Philly and I got a fresh McFlurry and the fries were actually hot and salted right. The cashier even remembered my order from earlier that week and cracked a joke about it. Has anyone else had a random turnaround at a chain you swore you hated?

Not sure one decent McFlurry erases the whole cold fries situation.
