The woman who insisted I break store policy for a 10 cent coupon

I worked at a grocery store in Detroit for 3 years and one customer still sticks in my mind. She argued with me for 20 minutes over a coupon that expired the day before, and when I finally called my manager she told him I was "the most unhelpful person she'd ever met." Has anyone else had a customer blow up over something that small?

My buddy works at a hardware store and this lady came in screaming about a five dollar off coupon. Turns out it was for a different store chain entirely. She stood there for a good fifteen minutes insisting it was "false advertising" even though it had another company's logo on it. Manager finally came over and she just crumpled the coupon and threw it at him. People lose their minds over some pretty small stuff sometimes.

Did she save more in time than that coupon was worth by just letting it go? Sounds like she paid 10 cents for the privilege of making a scene.
