The return that took 47 minutes (and it was literally one item)
I had a customer come in wanting to return a single phone case, and it shouldn't have been complicated right? Wrong. First the system flagged her ID for some random reason, then the manager had to override it, then the barcode wouldn't scan. I stood there for 47 minutes (yes I checked the clock) while she got more and more frustrated over a $12 item. So here is my debate: should stores just eat the cost on tiny returns under $20 to save everyone's time, or is verifying everything worth the hassle? What do you all think?

Oh man, that's brutal but I feel their pain so much. Last month I tried to return a $8 charging cable and the system glitched and took like 35 minutes while the manager kept calling someone about an override code. Honestly at that point just hand them a dollar and call it a day, it's cheaper than paying the employee you've got standing there waiting.
