The one phrase customers use that instantly kills any goodwill I have left
Honestly, I work the returns desk at a big box store in Ohio, and I've noticed a trend that drives me crazy. People come up and say 'I bought this here' but they have no receipt and the item isn't even from our store. It happens at least 5 times a shift, and they get so defensive when I point it out. I had a guy last Tuesday argue with me for 10 minutes about a grill cover that was from a hardware chain two towns over. Why can't people just check the brand or keep their receipts? Any other customer service folks deal with this constant misplacement blame?
