That one customer who called me a liar about coupon stacking still haunts me

I worked at a grocery store in Phoenix for two years and the worst was this lady who came in with like 6 coupons for the same item. I told her our policy only lets you use one coupon per item, not stack them. She yelled at me for 10 minutes saying I was making it up and the manager at the other store lets her do it. I got my manager and he backed me up but she stood there and said we were both liars. After she left I checked the policy manual just to be sure and yeah it was there in bold print. Has anyone else had a customer gaslight you about store policy even when you know you're right?

In the Phoenix store where I used to work, I started carrying a printed copy of the policy sheet for exactly this reason. Just pulled it out and pointed to the line. Shut her down real quick because she couldn't argue with the actual words on paper. People get real quiet when they can't gaslight you.
