Shoutout to the guy who called in asking for a refund on a 7-year-old software license

Heard from our support lead that only 3% of our user base even logs in after 5 years, which blew my mind. Anyone else have a stat from their job that just seemed impossible at first?

Lol that's wild. My buddy works at a gym and they told him only like 15% of people with memberships actually go more than twice a month. Makes you think.

Ever wonder if that low number is actually part of the gym's business plan, @corad84? They bank on people paying but not showing up. It's like they sell the idea of getting fit, not the actual workout. All those empty machines mean less wear and tear, lower costs for them. The crowded January rush fools you, but by March it's back to the regulars.

Totally see that pattern everywhere after reading what corad84 said. We buy into the future version of ourselves who will use the software or go to the gym, but that person never really shows up. It's like we're paying for the hope, not the thing itself. Makes me side-eye every subscription service I've got now.
