I FINALLY hit 500 customer complaints in one year and nobody cared

It was around the middle of December last year. I work at a call center for a cable company in Phoenix. I counted up all my complaint tickets and it was exactly 500 complaints for the year. I thought for sure my manager would notice or something. But nope. They just said "keep your numbers up" and that was it. Has anyone else ever hit some random big number that meant nothing to anyone but you?

500 complaints in a year" is honestly more of a reflection on company policy than your performance.

Right, because policy invented itself out of thin air and definitely never gets talked about by real people with actual feedback. Next thing you'll tell me the 500 complaints were all from one guy with a grudge and a spreadsheet. Sounds like management found their scapegoat and everyone else gets to nod along like it's totally normal. Sure, blame the worker, always easier than looking at the system that set them up to fail. Real shocker that the numbers look bad when you measure success by how fast people hang up.
