Hit 1,000 complaints handled in a single shift and almost cried at my register

I work at a grocery chain in Nashville and yesterday I clocked 1,004 customer complaints on my log sheet. That includes everything from price checks to expired coupons to a guy yelling about avocado ripeness. It really hit me how much crap we take without snapping. My manager didn't even blink when I showed him the number. Has anyone else ever counted their daily complaint total and gotten shocked by the volume?

Ten reps doesn't sound like that big of a deal to me @alice991, are we sure it's not just the slow pace that's making people tired?
