Choose between a quiet store or a busy one, picked busy and got burned out

I worked retail at this mall in Tulsa back in 2015. I had the option to transfer to the small kiosk location with maybe 50 customers a day, or stay at the main store doing 300 plus. I picked the main store because I liked the chaos and the tips from the gift wrap counter. By month 4 I was dreading every shift, the manager kept adding more tasks, and I ended up quitting without a backup plan. Anyone else ever pick the high stress floor and regret it while the easy lane was wide open?
