Appreciation post: The difference in customers after our store in Tampa went cashless

Before, I'd get yelled at over a 50 cent bag fee. Now, the biggest fight is someone forgetting their card PIN. Anyone else's spot make a switch that totally changed the vibe?

My cousin's coffee shop in Denver tried this and it backfired. They lost a bunch of regulars who only use cash. Did you see any drop in business at first, or did everyone just adapt right away? I'm curious if location changes how people react.

My buddy runs a food truck in Austin that stopped taking cash last year. He said the exact same thing, way less stress over small change and fake bills. It's wild how something that simple can cut down on daily arguments. I guess people just accept the rules when it's all digital.

Oh man, I feel this! I tried to give up cash at my little pop-up booth last summer and it was a disaster. First day some guy paid me with a fake $20 that looked like Monopoly money, and I spent the whole rest of the day arguing with people about their crumpled up fives. I'm not great with technology either, so I tripped over the card reader cord like three times. I guess I'm just cursed when it comes to the simple stuff. But hey, if your buddy made it work in Austin, maybe I just wasn't doing it right!
