A guy at the counter in Boise explained why he yells before I even say hi, and it stuck with me
Had a regular come through my register at a hardware store in Boise last Tuesday and he always starts with "I'm not mad at you" before I can even greet him. Finally I asked why, and he told me his wife worked returns at a big box store for 6 years and got screamed at so much that he just assumes every retail worker is braced for it. It hit different because I do flinch when someone walks up fast, and I never put that together until he pointed it out. Anyone else have a customer say something that explained your own habits back to you?
