Tried time blocking my Stardew farm and it made the game feel like a job
I read some post about treating each in game day like a real schedule, so I gave myself 6 in game hours for crops, 2 for fishing, the rest for mining. By day 4 of fall I was watching the clock instead of enjoying the farm and I caught myself getting stressed about a virtual sprinkler. What I learned is that cozy games get uncozy the second you start optimizing them like a to do list. Now I just wander and do whatever looks fun, even if the parsnips sit there another day. Did planning ever ruin a game for you, or am I the only one who turns everything into a chore?
