Three years of night owl mining and I still hate the skull cavern
Last week I finally admitted it to my co-op group after we did our usual Sunday run. Everyone else gets excited about the loot and the challenge, but I just dread it. Three years ago I started Stardew Valley on my Switch during a long winter break, and my friend insisted the skull cavern is where the real game lives. I've gone maybe 40 times since then, and every single visit feels like stress, not cozy. The bombs, the serpents, the staircases, the running clock, it all ruins the chill vibe I get from fishing or tending my blueberries. I know the rewards are good, but I'd rather grind the regular mines for a week than touch that place again. Is there anyone out there who plays this game for peace and just skips the deep dungeon stuff entirely?
