My sister watched me play Stardew for 10 minutes and asked why I was always broke by summer
Okay so this is gonna sound dumb but I've put like 200 hours into Stardew across two farms and I was always scraping by until fall. My sister sat next to me last weekend while I was playing and after watching me for maybe 10 minutes she goes "why do you sell everything the second you get it?" And I just stared at her because I had never thought about it. Turns out I was dumping every single parsnip and potato straight into the shipping bin the day I picked them, so I never had anything saved up for seeds the next season. She told me to just hold onto a stack of crops and only sell what I didn't need, and keep like 2k gold as a buffer before I buy anything fun. I tried it on a new save and by summer year 1 I had enough for a coop and a barn without stressing. It's so obvious now but I genuinely never put it together in 200 hours. Does anyone else hoard crops or am I the only one who was playing this game wrong this whole time?
