I kicked my 200 hour Stardew farm habit by setting a real kitchen timer on the counter
I used to lose whole evenings to Stardew and feel awful the next morning, so three weeks ago I tried something dumb: an actual wind up timer set for 45 minutes, sitting right next to the TV. When it rings I save, water my crops one last pass, and walk away, no matter what is happening in the mines. The trick is putting the timer somewhere I have to stand up to reach, because if it is on the couch I just hit snooze with my foot. It sounds silly but I have kept it up for 19 days straight now. Curious if anyone else uses a physical timer instead of in game clocks, and what number works for you?

Always figured a timer was overkill til I tried it and now I'm a believer too.
