Tried calling a 1-800 number from a fake government flyer I found in my mailbox

It was some weird recordings about electromagnetic pulse protection kits, and I learned the whole flyer was a scam to get credit card info. Has anyone else spotted these mailers in their area?

Tip the postal inspectors off with the flyer, they actually go after mail fraud.

Friend of mine had a mailbox get hit by one of those porch pirate types a few years back. He printed a little flyer with a grainy screenshot from his doorbell cam and taped it to the mailbox. Two weeks later the postal inspectors actually showed up at his door asking about it. They ended up tracking the guy down through some package tracking numbers and nailing him for mail theft. It wasn't a big operation but they took it seriously enough to follow up. Makes you wonder why more people don't try that route.
