My week of perfect timing got ruined by a TV remote conspiracy

I had a streak of 6 good days in a row, which never happens for me, and I honestly thought the universe was finally on my side. But it all fell apart on a Wednesday when my washing machine ate a sock and then my phone died at 4% while I was on hold with my bank, 38 minutes of elevator music gone. The craziest part was finding the sock inside the drum filter, which makes zero sense with how tight that thing is. My buddy says it's proof that machines have a hidden agenda, but I just think the spin cycle is reckless. Anyone else have a whole week ruined by one dumb household item?

That spin cycle thing is no joke, I've pulled two socks out of mine and now I just run a sock bag every load. If you want to keep your good streak going, get a cheap mesh bag before the universe revokes your luck again.
