My uncle told me to stop watching flat earth debunk videos and just read the other side first, and he was right
My uncle Ron, who's been arguing about moon landing stuff at Thanksgiving for 20 years, told me back in March to stop watching debunk videos and actually read the flat earth society's own handbook before arguing with anyone. I figured it was a waste of a weekend but I did it anyway, and about 40 pages in I realized half the stuff I'd been repeating online wasn't even what they actually claim. So now when my cousin starts up at family stuff I can ask him about specific things in his own source material and he goes quiet, which honestly feels better than winning a shouting match. Anyone else find that reading the original argument beats watching somebody else dunk on it?
