Lights pattern over Lake Okeechobee still bugs me, 3 nights in a row
I go fishing down near Clewiston a lot, and last month I saw something I can't shake. Three nights in a row around 1am, these lights moved in a perfect grid over the water, like scanning lines on a TV, no sound, no boat wake under them. I checked marine traffic, weather balloons, even asked the old guy at the bait shop if crop dusters run night routes, he just laughed and said he's seen it too but nobody talks about it. The pattern was too straight and too fast for any bird or plane I know, and it stopped right at the levee each time, like it knew the boundary. Has anyone else spotted this over the lake or similar fixed patterns near big water, and did you get any logical answer that actually held up?
