Can we talk about the missing storm siren in Denton County last Tuesday?

Last Tuesday at 6:40 pm a tornado warning went out for my part of Denton County, but the siren near my apartment on Mockingbird Lane never went off. I checked the city's outage map and it showed zero reported failures, which felt off considering three neighbors posted on Nextdoor that they heard nothing either. This is the second time in a year this has happened here, so are they just cutting corners on maintenance or is someone suppressing the system on purpose? Has anyone else tracked a pattern like this in their town?
