A mod in a flat earth group told me my debunk posts were too mean, so I changed one thing and now nobody argues with me
I used to get into these long fights in a flat earth group on Facebook where I would just call people stupid and drop a NASA link. Last month a mod named Dave in the group sent me a private message that said my tone was chasing new people away and making the whole community look bad. So I started doing one thing different: instead of telling people they were wrong, I just ask them what evidence would change their mind and then wait. It sounds soft but my last three threads got like 40 replies each and nobody called me a shill once. Has anyone else tried the whole ask questions instead of dunking thing, or does it just feel like giving conspiracy folks a free pass?
