A guy on a debate server told me my sources were weak, so I started checking who owns the news site
I used to just drop links in arguments and act like that ended it. About 3 months ago a guy in a Discord debate server told me my source was owned by a company that also funded the study I was quoting. I looked it up and he was right. Now before I post anything I check who owns the outlet and who paid for the research. It takes like 10 extra minutes and has saved me from getting wrecked in debates. Does anyone else do this or am I just paranoid now?
