TIL the $5 rotisserie chicken at Costco is basically 4 meals if you actually use the bones
I was standing in line at the Costco on Sunday and the guy behind me had three chickens in his cart, so I asked if he was feeding a big family. He said no, it's just him and his wife, and they pull all the meat off, then boil the carcass for broth, then use the broth for soup later in the week. I tried it this week and got 4 solid meals out of one bird: two sandwich nights, one chicken salad lunch, and a pot of rice cooked in the homemade broth. The broth alone would've cost me $3 at the store, so the chicken kind of pays for itself. Anyone else doing the carcass broth thing or am I late to this?
