Taco Bell's $1 burrito beats the $3 one if you ask for extra sauce

My crew and I hit the Taco Bell on Broadway near the job site every Tuesday. I finally noticed the $1 bean burrito is basically the same size as the $3 beef one, just less meat. Ask for extra red sauce and it's actually filling plus you save $2 each. We've been doing this for three weeks now and I'm curious if anyone else has a similar hack for stretching a fast food menu item without getting skimpy portions.
