Just hit $500 saved from homemade lunches this year! Didn't even notice until I checked my budget app.

My buddy did similar math with his coffee habit (like, buying it vs making it at home) and realized he saved almost $800 just by not stopping at the drive-thru every morning. That's a decent chunk of change for something that takes an extra 5 minutes at home. Makes you wonder what other small stuff adds up without you noticing, you know?

That extra 5 minutes at home" thing really hits different when you actually track it. I did the same thing with my coffee habit a while back. I was buying those fancy cold brew bottles from the gas station every day at like $4.50 each. Switched to making a big pitcher at home on Sundays and it costs me maybe $2 for the whole week. Feels stupid to admit but I was burning $120 a month just on convenience store coffee runs. Now I use that money for actual stupid stuff like video game skins.
