Found out the $5 rotisserie chicken at my Kroger in Columbus can feed me for 4 days if I do it right
I always walked right past that thing because I thought it was just a sad greasy bird sitting under a heat lamp, but last week a worker named Denise in the deli section told me they mark them down to $5 after 7pm and I should grab one before the rush. So I did. Took it home, pulled all the meat off, and got 3 full meals out of it plus a pot of chicken soup from the bones. I weighed it out just for fun and there was almost 2 pounds of usable meat in there. That works out to around 60 cents a serving which honestly beats anything on any dollar menu near me. I'm not even kidding when I say I went back the next night and got another one. If you have a store that does the evening markdown and you're not checking the deli case, you're missing out. Does anybody know if other chains do a set time for this or is it just whoever is working that shift?
