Went to Pax Unplugged and got annoyed at the 'speed players' at every table

I hit up Pax Unplugged in Philly last month and something kept bugging me. You sit down at a game like Dune Imperium or even a quick filler, and there's always that one person rushing everyone through their turn. They tap the table, sigh loud, or start explaining the next move while you're still reading a card. I get that some people want to cram in 4 games in 3 hours, but I also paid good money to be there. The other side is maybe the con vibe just makes people anxious to fit everything in. What do you all think? Is rushing part of the con culture or should people just chill and let the turn take as long as it takes?

That story about the guy counting down in Wingspan is exactly the kind of nonsense I'm talking about... taking a full five minutes out of spite is a total power move, and honestly, that guy deserved it. Some folks treat conventions like a speedrun challenge instead of a place to actually enjoy the company and the game. The best tables I've been at have a silent agreement to just let the game breathe, and nobody walks away feeling cheated.

Heard from my buddy who went to a smaller con last year and sat down for a round of Wingspan. Some guy across the table kept counting down from ten every time it was someone's turn, like he was a game show host or something. My friend finally looked him dead in the eye and took a full five minutes to play a single bird, just out of spite. The guy got all huffy and left mid game, which honestly made the rest of the afternoon way more fun. So yeah, I think the rush crowd just has bad table manners, not an actual time crunch.
