Update: my sister flipped the table at our 3 player Catan night over a trade

So we were 2 hours into a 3 player Catan game at my place in Portland and my sister was one point from winning. My buddy offered me a sheep for two ore, which would have blocked her longest road, and she just lost it and shoved the whole board off the coffee table. I made her pick up every piece and we started over from scratch, which took another 40 minutes, and she ended up winning anyway. Now my buddy says he wants a house rule where nobody can trade while someone is at 9 points. Has anyone else had a game night blow up like this, and did you actually fix it or just stop playing with that person?

Wait, she actually shoved the whole board off the table? That's wild, but the part that gets me is she still won after you made her pick up all 40 pieces and start over. Your buddy's house rule seems backwards though, since blocking someone at 9 points is kind of the whole point of the game at that stage.
