Stopped by a random game convention in Cleveland last Saturday and had a weird realization
I was walking through the hall at Cle-Con 2024 and saw a guy spend 25 minutes explaining the exact weight of his custom meeples to a vendor. Nobody asked him, he just went off. It hit me that we all have that one game detail we obsess over way too much. For me it's the card stock thickness in deck builders, I can't stop feeling it. Dude next to me was the same with dice balance. Do you have that one weird thing you check before you even read the rules?

Honestly that meeple guy sounds like my spirit animal. I'm the same way with card stock but I also gotta check the weight of the box itself, like if it feels too light I instantly assume the components are trash.
