Spent $120 on custom sleeves for my game collection... now I kinda regret it
I went all in and bought premium sleeves for every single card in about 15 board games. Thought it would keep things pristine and feel fancy. But after 6 months, the sleeves on my most played games are already splitting at the corners. That's $120 down the drain for stuff that wore out faster than I expected. Plus, shuffling with sleeves is way slower than just handling the cards raw. Has anyone else found a brand that actually lasts longer than a year?

Spending big on protection that fails faster than the cheap stuff feels like life in a nutshell.

@ramirez.caleb hit the nail on the head there. I did the exact same thing with my copy of Wingspan - dropped eighty bucks on premium sleeves for all the bird cards and the bonus cards. Six months in and the corners on my most shuffled decks are already peeling off like cheap stickers. It seems like no matter what brand you buy, the ones you use the most just don't hold up. Now I'm stuck with a pile of split sleeves and cards that are still fine on their own. Makes me wonder if those "premium" labels are just marketing fluff.
