Buddy of mine bought one just for that list and hated half the games.

Yeah "hated half the games" is pretty much what I expected from that thing. I actually went through something similar with a different bundle system a couple years ago. @jason73 what helped me was watching some gameplay videos first before jumping in, then picking one game I knew I'd like and ignoring the rest for a while. I ended up finding a few hidden gems that way that I would have written off otherwise. Not saying it'll work for everyone but it took the pressure off feeling like I had to like everything in the package.
