Picked card sleeves over a new game last month, still thinking about it

I had $20 to spend at my local shop in Portland. I could grab a cheap filler game or finally sleeve my copy of Dominion that's been getting worn edges. I went with the sleeves, 100 for $3, and spent an hour putting them on. Now my cards feel nice and shuffly, but I keep wondering if I missed out on trying something new. Anyone else ever skip a purchase for maintenance stuff like this?
