My board game group's copy of Betrayal at House on the Hill literally fell apart mid game last Friday

We were 4 friends deep into a game night and someone grabbed the tile stack a little too hard. Pages just started falling out of the rulebook like confetti. The box spine cracked too. This copy has been through maybe 30 sessions over 2 years. Anyone else had a game physically break during the middle of a session? What did you do, try to salvage it or just call it a night?

That heat from your hands and the table over two years probably dried out the glue way faster than you'd think, especially if the game gets stored somewhere with humidity swings. Might be worth checking the production batch number on the box too because some early runs of Betrayal had notoriously bad binding that just couldn't hold up. Honestly, calling it a night and ordering a replacement copy online is probably the move since trying to glue a rulebook back together during game night is just asking for disaster.

saw a youtube video that said storing games vertically kills the glue way faster.
