Hot take: Most people dont understand turn order in cooperative games

I was at a game night last week and watched a group reset a campaign scenario 3 times because they kept arguing about when the boss gets to act. The rulebook on the table clearly said it triggers at the start of the round not after each player goes. Why is it so hard for folks to just read the sequence once before playing?

Man oh man, I feel this in my bones. I once sat through a three hour game of Dead of Winter where we spent 45 minutes debating if the zombie horde moves before or after the noise die is rolled. I literally printed the flowchart from the rulebook and taped it to the table for round two. So yeah, I'm the guy who resets because I couldn't figure out if my turn was before or after the monster's special ability. Your mileage may vary but I'm pretty sure turn order is the real boss in every cooperative game.

Ain't that the truth though? I've watched more than one game night fall apart because people can't agree on whether the "end of round" cleanup happens before or after the last player's turn. Spent a whole session of Betrayal at House on the Hill just trying to figure out if the haunt roll happens at the start of your turn or the end of it, felt like we needed a referee.
