Found out my copy of Ticket to Ride has 8 extra train cars because of a factory mixup in 2004
So I was sorting my game closet and counted the blue trains in my old Ticket to Ride box and got 53 instead of 45. Thought I was losing it and counted twice more. Same number every time. Did some digging on BoardGameGeek forums and found a thread from like 2009 where a guy in Ohio had the exact same thing, 8 spare blues. Turns out a batch out of the factory that year got packed wrong for a short window. I've owned this copy since high school and never noticed because who counts plastic trains? Now I'm wondering if it changes anything for trading value. Has anyone else found extra pieces in an old game and did you keep them or pass them on?
