Took me 6 months to track down my daughter's birth records... turned out they were in a county office just 20 miles away the whole time

Man I had something similar happen with my old truck's title. Spent months thinking it got lost in a move, turned out it was stuffed behind a filing cabinet at the DMV the whole time. Bureaucracy is just a game of hide and seek with important stuff.
