The way people talk about 'open adoption' is totally backwards
I keep seeing posts where birth moms say they gave up their rights 'so the kid can have a normal life' and then they never see the kid again. That is not open adoption. I placed my son 8 years ago in Phoenix and his parents send me photos every 3 months and we do a video call twice a year. If you are not getting updates or visits, you got a closed adoption where the agency lied to you. So many moms here are getting hurt because they think open means the adoptive parents just 'keep you in mind.' Has anyone else realized their adoption agreement was fake after the fact?

Sounds like you got lucky with decent people. Most aren't that reliable.

Wait, you're telling me Sam had a crew show up on time AND finish early? That's wild. My last experience with movers they showed up two hours late, took a smoke break on my brand new sofa, and somehow still managed to break a leg off my grandmother's antique table. They charged me extra for "difficult handling" of the broken piece too.
