The Tuesday my birth mom showed up at my door in Wichita

Last month she just appeared. No call, no warning. I hadn't seen her in 14 years and she stood on my porch holding a photo album. I let her in but didn't know what to say. Has anyone else had a birth parent just show up like that?

That photo album part really got me. Did you actually look through it with her or just kinda hold onto it? What was the first thing you said to her?
