Shoutout to the paper journals I kept in 2011 over the notes app I use now
Wrote to my son every week for 3 years in a $4 spiral notebook, and rereading pages from back then I can actually see my shaky handwriting in the hard parts. Anyone else find the old paper stuff hits different than typing? What got easier or harder for you?
Seems like a stretch to say paper "hits different" just because the handwriting wobbles. That shaky stuff could just mean you were tired or rushed that week, not that the notebook captured some deeper truth the phone can't. You can type a note at 2am with one thumb and still get the same feelings across. The paper thing is nice, sure, but it's not like the words mean more just because they're smudged.
