Rant: dropped $180 on a 'birth mother support' conference in Phoenix that was really just a sales pitch for adoption agencies
Three hours of speakers and not one panel on grief counseling or open adoption struggles, just tables in the back pushing 'placement packages' like we were at a timeshare seminar, so has anyone found an actual birth parent retreat that isn't secretly funded by agencies?

Three hours and not one grief counselor? That's wild to me. I went to something similar in Mesa last spring and at least they had a therapist talk for 45 minutes, even if the rest was a mess. Tables in the back selling "placement packages" like it's a timeshare booth is such a gross picture in my head. $180 for a sales floor with snacks is a straight up scam. Sorry you got taken like that.
