Overheard a social worker say something that chilled me in Columbus

I was sitting in the waiting room at the county office on Tuesday, just scrolling my phone, when I caught two caseworkers talking by the water cooler. One said, "Honestly, a lot of these birth mothers regret it by year five, they just don't say it out loud." My heart dropped because that's exactly where I am, five years out from placing my son in March of 2020. She wasn't talking about me specifically, but it made me realize how many of us probably hide the second-guessing behind a brave face. Has anyone else heard professionals say stuff like that, or am I the only one who can't shake it?
